V2X Quality Manager in Saint Helena,

The Quality Manager serves as a Quality Control / Assurance Manager. The incumbent is responsible for conducting performance studies; coordinating, communicating and monitoring the contract quality control / assurance program and surveillance systems for support of base operations; and support services. Incumbent is an advisor to the Site Management Office, Directors, Managers & Supervisors on matters of contract quality assurance and surveillance. Establishes and maintains professional working relationships to ensure that quality management, monitoring, and evaluation of contractor performance are documented. Additionally:
Develops, implements, and manages the resources for the Quality System (QS).
Ensures the implementation and effectiveness of the Business Management System (BMS) operational and functional elements.
Monitors, inspects, evaluates, validates & analyzes service delivery, policy, procedures, and related documentation & records.
Analyzes discrepancies, assists with root cause analysis, and validates corrective action implementation.
Coordinates minor discrepancy correction directly with the responsible Department.
Serves as the liaison to the Quality Representatives and supports the interface with Government Quality Assurance Evaluators (QAEs) daily.
Ensures and promotes continuous improvement.
Attends and is an active participant in staff meetings, reporting on pertinent information or status on minor and major program elements, quality related statistics, and system elements with respect to quality problems or opportunities.
Participates in scheduling meetings; multi-program planning meetings in support of overall facility program coordination; assigned meetings relating to Quality inspections; audits; and Quality System Administration.

This position is contingent upon successful contract award to V2X.
Responsibilities
Major Job Activities:

Counsel , coach, and mentor Quality team members.
Broad knowledge of the full range of principles, concepts, and methodology related to QA/QC functional programs, as well as considerable skill in applying this knowledge to the planning and accomplishment of a variety of difficult and complex work.
Coordinates with corporate Quality team and ensures proper flow down of practices, policies and procedures.
Comprehensive and through knowledge of acquisition QA/QC concepts, principles, methods, and practices, and the skills to design, plan and implement an effective and economical quality assurance program.
Extensive knowledge of the practices, policies, and procedures of related functional and administrative activities such as contract administration , engineering, production, procurement, logistics, and supply
Material & Equipment Directly Used:
May be exposed to potentially hazardous conditions that require wear of hard hats, gloves, steel toed boots, hearing protection, safety glasses and other personal protection equipment (PPE) such as flak vest and Kevlar helmet; may be required to push, pull, and lift heavy equipment.
Use of cell phones to maintain contact and accountability of work activities.
Working Environment:
The worker is subject to both environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside.
Physical Activities:
Climbing: Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized. This factor is important if the amount and kind of climbing required exceeds that required for ordinary locomotion.
Balancing: Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling and walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces. This factor is important if the amount of balancing exceeds that needed for ordinary locomotion and maintenance of body equilibrium.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a related discipline.
Certifications:
Must be eligible for Base Access / Clearance.
Must have a v alid Driver's License.
Six Sigma Green Belt
Black Belt / Lean
Experience / Skills:
Minimum of three (3) years of general experience in managerial, budgetary, professional, investigative, and technical activities related to the provision of services in support of specified military base support operations and logistical service contracts is preferred.
Five (5) years of experience in progressively responsible positions in support of QA/QC related work encompassing the following: program planning; earned value management; data collection and analysis; quality / Six Sigma / Lean techniques. B road knowledge of organization and functions for a military base operation including logistics , customer service, communications , supply, and transportation.
Extensive Management experience in Quality Control / Quality Assurance (Five (5) Years). Specialized areas of performance: ability to facilitate business negotiations; gain cooperation and coordinate the work of others; skill in written and oral presentations; capability to adjust work operations to meet emergencies or changing program requirements within available resources; ability to establish objectives and performance goals and assess progress; ability to evaluate and validate organizational and operational problems and develop timely and economical solutions .
Skills & Technology Used:
Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping abilities.
Willingness to work in varied weather conditions on a remote island.
Ability to respond to emergency situations including after-hours calls.
Supervisory / Budget Responsibilities:
This position may have Supervisory and/or Budgetary responsibilities as needed.
