Description of Job
Mines invites applications for an Administrative Assistant III position. The position works 40 hours per week on-campus and will provide clerical and administrative support for the Economics and Business Department.
Duties include maintaining administrative files; maintaining confidential databases, including Workday; answering phones, directing calls and responding to requests for information; processing incoming mail; routing documents; processing and logging faculty and student forms; making logistical arrangements for events; processing requests for payments; tracking financial transactions, managing the calendars, attending meetings and taking minutes; monitoring accounts and providing administrative support as needed. This position will manage the department websites and develop communication and marketing material for department related events.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience Only:Three (3) years of administrative experience which included front desk reception, records management and basic technical accounting/bookkeeping responsibility. Must have proficiency with spreadsheet and word processing software (i.e. Word and Excel). Daily interaction with students, staff and faculty require this position to possess strong interpersonal and customer service skills and the ability to establish rapport with people of diverse backgrounds. Must have excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, make decisions independently and provide on-the-spot answers to administrative questions that arise. Must have excellent judgment and discretion and be able to work confidentially with sensitive and protected information.

Education and Experience:A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to three (3) years. TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE ATTACHED FOR EDUCATIONAL CREDIT.
Appeal Rights:
