SimGenics Simulation Systems, LLC Senior Control System Simulation & Software Engineer in Grand Junction, Colorado

A Senior Control System Simulation & Software Engineer with our organization performs the following professional duties:

1) Develop, implement and maintain SimuPACT as main tool - Duplicate and emulate the control logic and user interfaces of control systems used by clients. Ensure emulations are completed on schedule. 2) Direct and oversee new and custom control software - Analyze data and predict timing for duplication and emulation process necessitating accuracy of the control system at most fundamental level in order to duplicate to required degree. 3) Develop OPC Datahub for both data and alarms - Develop OPC Datahub with training simulators in mind, simplifying to enable operator training of specific plants. 4) Expand Operator Training Simulator Database - Develop tools for SimuPACT to catalogue and save all design data used to execute the training simulator with the goal of making the user experience as straightforward as possible. 5) Deliver Advanced Instructor Station for the training simulator - Develop and refine functionality of the Virtual Instructor to be ported to the Advanced Instructor Station, ensuring feasibility in training operators on multiple plant units simultaneously. 6) Conduct Site Acceptance Testing - Train and collaborate with engineers and instructors to ensure control system and simulator readiness. Monitor simulator system functioning, detecting, and correcting latent bugs and defects 7) Configure and manage proprietary software. Oversee, develop and plan highly complex and large code bases distributed to each project. Provide management of each specific project which requires different versions of libraries, and confirm correct use of correct version. Remain updated with the latest SimuPACT platform and recompile component libraries to function properly with most up to date version of SimuPACT. Keep up to date with all the latest features and bug fixes within SimuPACT and correspond with engineers within the company and within M-Tech to make sure the software is used efficiently and correctly throughout the company.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor Degree in Electronic Engineering, closely related field or foreign equivalent degree

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Two years' experience in the job offered

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT. Travel to anticipated and unanticipated client sites up to 10% of the time.

SALARY: $85,000.00 - 105,000.00/ year
