Job Title: Electronics Assembler

Job Description

The Electronics Assembler will be responsible for assembling and/or modifying electronic units, subassemblies, and wire harnesses. The assembler will work at an assembly station equipped with a work area, monitor for blueprints/directions, and a variety of parts/tools. Using small hand and power tools, the assembler will create wire harnesses based on schematics, install components on circuit boards using soldering equipment, and perform basic quality inspections. The assembler will also adjust, replace, or repair components to correct defects.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and modify electronic units, subassemblies, and wire harnesses.

• Use small hand and power tools to assemble wire harnesses based on schematics.

• Install components on circuit boards using soldering equipment.

• Perform basic quality inspections on circuit boards and wire harnesses.

• Adjust, replace, or repair components to correct defects.

• Follow easy-to-read, color-coded work orders developed by engineers.

Essential Skills

• 1+ year of manufacturing experience.

• Validation of good attendance and attitude.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• IPC Certification (preferred but not required).

• Prior experience with small hand/power tools.

Work Environment

The assembly area is extremely clean and quiet, with minimal continuous machine or mechanical noise. Due to the nature of the product, employees wear static-resistant gowns (provided). The facility is temperature-controlled and very comfortable, with seated workstations throughout the shift. Breaks are taken in a large break room or on two outdoor decks. Breaks can be spent outside, but not off-site. Veterans are provided with special camo static gowns.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00
