What you’ll do:

The Instructional Designer and Learning Partner is responsible for designing and developing educational content, managing the LMS platform, and delivering training sessions to ensure successful learning outcomes. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, instructional design, and effective training delivery to enhance employee or learner engagement and development. The individual in this role with work closely with US Signal Human Resources, Compliance, and Marketing departments to ensure content and training administration meets all compliance and branding requirements while reflecting our cultural values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with key department leaders and subject matter experts ("SMEs") in all US Signal teams (and may include our partner community) to design, develop, and implement engaging learning materials.

  • Actively lead in the filming, recording, and editing of a variety of content such as eLearning modules, instructional guides, videos, quizzes, and assessments.

  • Administer training content with a focus on efficiency and scalability while meeting organizational goals and learning objectives.

  • Conduct needs assessments to identify gaps in knowledge or skills and develop content to address these gaps.

  • Ensure content is accessible, aligned with instructional design principles and incorporates best practices in adult learning theory.

  • Continuously update and improve course materials based on feedback, trends, and new technologies.

  • Act as a recording coach for SMEs during content recording sessions to make their experience comfortable, fun, and productive.

  • Manage and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS), including user management, all content, course uploads, and system configurations.

  • Oversee LMS data management, ensuring accurate tracking of course completion, performance metrics, and learner progress.

  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to the LMS and provide support to learners, instructors, and administrators.

  • Perform regular audits of the LMS to ensure proper functioning, security, and user satisfaction.

  • Support evidence gathering related to training activities for internal and external audits.

  • Deliver instructor-led and virtual training sessions to learners, ensuring content is communicated effectively.

  • Facilitate workshops, seminars, and other learning programs to enhance skills and knowledge within the organization.

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, collecting feedback to make improvements as necessary.

  • Provide one-on-one coaching or support to learners when needed.

Experience and Skills:

What you bring to the team: To be successful in this position, you should bring the following qualifications, experiences, and education:

  • Bachelor's degree or Certification in instructional design or training methodologies. Other relevant experience and degrees may be considered, such as degrees in Education, Human Resources, Information Technology, or other related fields.

  • Experience with video editing and multimedia content creation tools.

  • Knowledge of SCORM, xAPI, or other eLearning standards.

  • Proven experience in content development, instructional design, or eLearning development.

  • Experience in administering and managing Learning Management Systems (LMS).

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong presentation and training facilitation skills, with experience delivering training to diverse audiences.

  • Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools.

  • Technical troubleshooting skills and a basic understanding of web-based technologies.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:This position operates in a variety of environments. A portion of the time is spent in a professional office environment and this role routinely uses standard office equipment.
