Description:

• VMware vSphere Expertise

o vSphere Install and Config

o VM Management

o Resource Management

• VMware vCenter Server

o Administration via vCenter

• Networking and Storage

o vSphere Networking (vSwitches, vDS, and network I/O control

o Manage storage such as VMFS, NFS, vSAN, configuring policies and datastores

• VMware ESXi Hosts

o Configuration of ESXi hosts including networking, storage, security

o Troubleshoot / resolve issues related to ESXi hosts and VM ops

• Automation and Scripting

o familiarity with Python, Bash, PowerCLI or similar for managing vSphere environments

Skills:

Windows, Active Directory, PKI, Windows server, Azure, M365, VMware

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Azure Cloud

• Experience engineering systems for a user base of 1000+

• Experience with operating hardened systems, and implementation of common security controls like CIS or NIST

• Experience with municipality IT in general

• Veaam Experience – configure & manage

• Basic understanding of the ITIL framework
