Job Title: Quality Control Lab Technician

Job Description

We are currently seeking a QC Chemist for a chemical manufacturer in Greensboro NC. This individual will be responsible for:

• Perform in-process, final, and/or retain sample testing for plastic additives.

• Calculate adjustments for in-process batches for all products.

• Operate and maintain analytical equipment including HPLC, GC, Auto Titrators, and analyzers.

• Perform testing on retain samples for shelf life extension or root cause investigation.

• Data entry into LIMS and SAP.

• Approve incoming raw materials based on COA results and necessary tests.

• Prepare batch tickets for conventional and Low Free urethane products.

• Conduct basic laboratory functions such as stocking chemicals, disposing of waste, washing glassware, shipping samples, and maintaining a clean laboratory environment.

Work Environment

This position is a first shift role, but candidates should demonstrate flexibility to meet business needs. The role is based in a QC Lab, where the team currently consists of three technicians with plans to add a fourth. The technician will work under the manager. Initially, the position will be on a first shift from Monday to Friday but will transition to a 12-hour day shift (8 AM to 8 PM) on a 2-2-3 schedule. Candidates should be prepared to cover additional day or night shifts in cases of emergency.
