Job Description:

We approach problems with creativity and innovation. The Greensboro, NC office is seeking a Staff Civil Engineer to join our growing practice. We are looking for a motivated candidate with attention to detail, a passion to continue to develop as a professional, and a desire to be part of a strong team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Apply professional principles, complex numerical models, and innovative solutions to real-world problems as part of a team of engineers and scientists while under the supervision of senior engineering personnel.

  • Assist in the preparation of CAD drawings for contract documents and reports with input and guidance from senior engineers in accordance with internal drafting procedures and guidelines.

  • Prepare complete plans and specifications to be part of construction documents.

  • Develop engineering recommendations and write technical reports.

  • Perform design calculations for hydraulic structures including spillways, dam outlet works, diversion and check structures, measurement flumes, and other various raw water infrastructure.

  • Perform inspections of dams and hydraulic structures

  • Collect data and measurements in the field.

  • Ability to travel and work in the field is required.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree focused in civil engineering, from an ABET-accredited institution.

  • 0-2 years of design-oriented consulting engineering.

  • Passing result on F.E. Exam.

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil3D.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Have a positive attitude and work well in a team environment.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to pass a background check which may include criminal history, motor vehicle record, and credit check.

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment screening.

The compensation range for an Entry-Level Civil Engineer is between $57,200 to $86,000. Compensation for this position may vary based on geographic location and other factors. We remain committed to providing competitive and equitable compensation to all employees, regardless of their location.
