Job Description
The Manufacturing Product Preparation Engineer is responsible for the transition of products from product development into full production readiness. This includes securing that Product Development/Technology teams deliver a product that is verified and aligned with the Production System and Future Factory Concept. The role requires establishing clear and commonly shared product requirements for one dedicated area of responsibility. The engineer will effectively coordinate and trigger activities of Manufacturing Solution Engineers within production, ensuring product changes are introduced in the industrial system without disturbance, according to set targets. Responsibilities also include creating requirements and specifications for production test tools, either directly with development teams or by collaborating with product test engineers. Additionally, the role may involve developing and defining the product support plan. This position typically requires 2 to 5 years of relevant experience and practical knowledge obtained through education and work experience. The engineer works independently with general supervision and faces problems that are difficult but typically not complex. They may also influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.
