What you will do:

  • Provide support to ensure customer and internal department satisfaction for Emerging Technology products.

  • Commission Emerging Technology systems and vehicles, including installation of software, troubleshooting, calibrating, and analyzing hardware and software issues at factory and customer sites.

  • Perform vehicle calibration and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).

  • Set-up & calibrate systems.

  • Conduct safety assessments and make adjustments.

  • Troubleshoot electro-mechanical issues.

  • Perform vehicle commissioning and validation.

  • Perform on-site safety assessments and adjustments.

  • Test application software and interfaces between systems.

  • Write training and support documentation.

  • Deliver operator training to end customers.

  • Lead customer acceptance testing during pre-delivery timing and on-site phased installation milestones.

  • Support virtual testing and commissioning.

  • Analyze vehicle uptime and issue tracking.

  • Support Sales and Applications Engineering activities by conducting field demonstrations and performance trials at OEM suppliers and prospective customers/partners.

  • These activities are billable and directly support project execution.

What you will need:

Field Engineer I

  • BS Degree in Engineering

  • Associate Degree with 1 year of relevant experience

  • 7 years of industry experience in lieu of a degree

  • 0 years of relevant experience

Field Engineer II

  • BS Degree in Engineering, or

  • 7 years of industry experience in lieu of a degree

  • 2 years of relevant experience

Field Engineer III

  • BS Degree in Engineering, or

  • 10 years of industry experience in place of a degree

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience

Skills, Experience & Abilities:

  • Experience troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems.

  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, 3D models, and mechanical assembly drawings.

  • Experience with wireless communication systems and conduct wireless communication surveys.

  • Proficiency using Windows operating systems.

  • Experience with device programming.

  • Understanding of networking concepts, hardware, and software.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a demanding and dynamic work environment, often in direct contact with the customer.

  • Must conduct oneself with confidence and professionalism, as this role represents HYMH Emerging Technology installation and commissioning at customer sites.

Travel Requirements:

  • Position requires significant travel, greater than 75%.
