Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in the machinery manufacturing industry for a Billing Specialist. The position is based in Greenville, South Carolina, United States. As a Billing Specialist, you will be tasked with the crucial responsibility of managing the day-to-day billing procedures and customer account setup for all the accounts assigned to you.

Responsibilities:

• Efficient and accurate processing of customer credit applications

• Regularly meet targets and deadlines for customer setups, invoices, credits, and rebills

• Ensure timely entry of invoices, including the distribution of invoices to customers and processing through the customer portal

• Adhere to standard accounting practices, particularly in areas related to revenue recognition

• Ensure all necessary documentation is available and accurate before invoicing

• Escalate any billing documentation that does not comply with company policy to Service Centers for correction

• Set up customer accounts, bill-to-information, and credit terms in the ERP system

• Confirm and upload tax exemption certificates into the sales tax software

• Collaborate closely with the collections and cash application teams to assist with account reconciliations Requirements • Proven experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary.

• Demonstrable skills in Billing operations are required.

• Ability to handle Rebate calculations effectively.

• Proficiency in managing Credit operations is a must.

• Experience with dealing with Multiple Vendors is mandatory.

• Proficiency in using Customer Portals is required.
