Job Description:
The Specialist, Systems Engineer is responsible for supporting the requirements, design, development, test, and integration of complex, specialized hardware/software systems installed on ground and airborne communications platforms .
Essential Functions:
Understand physical architectures incorporating voice, video, and data capability across multiple security domains.
Review and evaluate electrical wiring diagrams to ensure design details trace to system requirements.
Design and develop physical and logical architectures incorporating voice, video, and data capability across multiple security domains.
Designs and maintains networks (both LAN & WAN) connecting airborne and ground systems via terrestrial and BLOS (Beyond Line of Sight) circuits.
Translate the voice of the customer into system level requirements.
Write effective verification test procedures ensuring system performance and capabilities meet system requirements.
Write system level requirements.
Perform requirement traceability.
Understand physical architectures incorporating voice, video, and data capability across multiple security domains.
Test, integration, verification, and validation planning.
Write effective verification test procedures ensuring system performance and capabilities meet system requirements.
Understand requirement traceability.
Be able to prepare effective presentations to communicate technical information to non-technical professionals.
Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree with four (4) years of related Systems Engineering experience.
Gratuate Degree with two (2) years of related Systems Engineering experience.
In lieu of a degree a minimum of eight (8) years of related Systems Engineering experience.
Must have an Active Secret clearance at the time of hire with the ability to obtain a Top Secret with SCI.
Must be a US Citizen.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.
