Purpose:
We are looking for a confident professional with a passion and expertise for administrative support to join our fast-paced Risk team in a complex matrixed organization across the businesses of Athene & Apollo, corporate functions and geographies including the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific. This role will support the Risk Department including the Chief Risk Officer and direct reports with administrative responsibilities in an environment of spontaneous and persistent change including calendaring, travel, expense reimbursement, and other duties.
Accountabilities:
The Risk Sr. Executive Assistant will be accountable to the Vice President of Regulatory Risk, the Head of Risk Operations & Change Management, reporting directly to the Chief Risk Officer, with guidance from the Operations Team. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
Perform full administrative support functions for the Chief Risk Officer and direct reports including, but not limited to, calendar management, travel coordination, expense reporting, maintaining contacts and distribution lists, and sending/receiving/processing mail, and materials preparation and coordination
Exercise good judgment and discretion in identifying and safeguarding all matters of a confidential and highly sensitive nature
Serve as point-of-contact on behalf of covered professionals for internal and external constituents, including senior executives and board members
Coordinate domestic and international business travel arrangements including flights, lodging, car services/rental cars, conference registrations, dining reservations, etc.
Flexibility to monitor travel and respond to frequent unexpected and disruptive events, e.g., changes in travel and meeting plans, travel delays and cancellations, etc.
Schedule and organize meetings, conferences, and off-sites, including all related logistics and meeting preparations, e.g., agenda, tracking of responses/attendance, materials and follow ups
Take initiative with follow-ups on issues or correspondence to ensure that respective audiences are aware of current activities, updates, deadlines, or information specific to their requests or projects/tasks
Allocate and process expenses for professionals using Concur system

Ensure access to office and desk space, and maintaining and ordering supplies for the office
Handle coordination of all on/off boarding and logistics for new team members
Coordinate office transitions by facilitating logistics, communications, and planning
Perform other related general administrative tasks for professionals as assigned and required
Qualifications and Experience:
4+ years of operational and executive support experience required, preferably in a law firm, investment bank, global recruiting firm, money center bank, or global insurer
Extensive knowledge of Concur, Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment focused on timely execution
Comfort working with uncertainty and spontaneous and rapid change
Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing demands, meet deadlines and work effectively on multiple initiatives concurrently
Strong initiative and ownership of responsibilities – must demonstrate a proactive, positive and entrepreneurial attitude
Ability to plan and adapt for potential issues, while taking appropriate action with effective escalations
Strong and effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders effectively at all levels within the organization
Collaborative style and demonstrated success contributing to team goals and environment
Demonstrating poise and tact necessary to handle sensitive and confidential situations
Bachelor’s degree required, with graduate degree preferred
$66,577.60 - $99,866.40 USD Annual
Annual Salary for this role is market competitive. Actual salary for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Depending on the role, a discretionary bonus plan or variable sales incentive may be included.
