Spectrum Director, Site Development and RAN Deployment in Greenwood Village, Colorado
This position is eligible for our Hybrid Work Policy. Eligible employees can work from home up to one day each week.
JOB SCOPE
Lead 5G and WiFi site acquisition and Radio Access Network (RAN) deployment strategy and execution for aerial strand, macro, MDU, venue, and third parties.
Responsibility for driving all wireless deployment engagements with Field Operations to deliver large-scale radio deployment of thousands of access points to increase offload for Spectrum Mobile and deliver a superior user experience for Spectrum Mobile customers.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience leading national wireless radio infrastructure deployment across a number of domains, a deep knowledge of wireless products, and a vision for how Charter can leverage wireless infrastructure to extend products and services outside of the home.
DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES
Accountable for macro, venue, and special projects site development strategy focused on better, faster, cheaper.
Defines and enhances network deployment processes for aerial strand AP development, deployment, and integration.
Own business requirements for deployment tools and platforms.
Coordinate with Field Ops on deployment schedule and goals and own overall accountability for RAN deployment reporting.
Direct FOP laison between Engineering, Product, and Technology Operations for all deployment-related issues.
Responsible for negotiations with 3rd party tower/pole management companies, individual rooftop/pole managers, and other deployment-related siting companies
Oversee A&E/GC firms for macro site construction and overall macro site lease management, accountable for daily workflows, contracts, and other submittals
Applies a strong understanding of RAN deployment processes to lead the execution of all deployment initiatives for 5G and WiFi, holding the organization accountable to deliver to deployment timeline commitments.
Manages capital budgets of related product development initiatives.
Leads a high-performing, cross-functional team to deliver deployment and launch objectives.
Develops effective partnerships between the Site Development and RAN Deployment Team and the other supporting functional organizations (Engineering, Software Development, IT, Operations, 3rd Party suppliers, etc.) to properly interpret and deliver on deployment commitments.
Maintains a strong technical knowledge of wireless technologies and able to collaborate effectively with Engineering groups.
Ensures alignment between the business operational strategies and technical solutions related to deployment.
Supports business development and strategic partnerships for wireless deployment, assessing potential partnerships, negotiating related deals, and managing resulting relationships, working closely with business development.
Analyzes deployment performance metrics of 5G and WiFi APs to recommend process, tracking, and automation improvements.
BASIC / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing or related field
Minimum five (5) years of Product Management / New Product Development Experience
Minimum five (5) years of Related industry experience (Wireless, Telecommunications, Cable)
Minimum five (5) years of Management experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Extensive experience in large-scale Radio Access Network deployment at a national level.
PE in one or more jurisdictions.
National deployment program management and construction project management.
Ability to lead matrix teams: must be comfortable in a highly visible role; a great consensus builder and the clear champion of their area of responsibility.
Ability to influence other organizations and rally key stakeholders within the company to achieve key objectives.
Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel as well as in public forums.
Great organizational and office management skills.

The base pay for this position generally is between $124,000.00 and $220,000.00 . The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
