Job Purpose

The Production Scheduler is responsible for planning all production activity in the Greer facility. This includes planning and scheduling for all lines in the Greer facility. This also includes the coordination of all production trials along with Technical and R&D. Working within a team-based environment, the Production Scheduler will support Plant Management along with the Production Supervisors and Process Specialists with planning across the company/facility.

Principal Accountabilities

  1. Establish the scheduling of production activities including the allocation of equipment to ensure timely delivery to customers.

  2. Coordinates and expedites the flow of work and materials within or between departments of an establishment according to production schedule.

  3. Respond to customer service requests.

  4. Provide support and back up as required for Shipping / Receiving Coordinator

  5. Gathers and deciphers information to create a production schedule, trouble shoots, and escalations and improved ship dates.

  6. Manages and maintains the sales forecast for products manufactured in Greer in conjunction with customer service.

  7. Utilizes SAP to review and evaluate demand by workstation and release orders to the appropriate work areas.

  8. Facilitates communication across the Order Fulfillment, technical and procurement teams to adjust schedules for daily activities and production changes.

  9. Provides recommendation with respect to schedule changes based on changing lead times and demand levels.

  10. Has the authority and responsibility to report non-conformity product.

  11. Performs other duties as required by company management.

  12. Responsible to balance capacity for each line and provide recommendations for weekend overtime or plant shutdowns based upon demand.

  13. Responsible for Raw Material and Finished Goods Inventory in collaboration with the MPA Inventory Manager and Materials Controller.

  14. Handles all interplant Transfer activities involving shared raw materials within SAP converting STR or STO entries and communication with appropriate parties.

Knowledge / Skills / Experience

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent

  2. Minimum 5 years manufacturing experience

  3. Associate degree in Scheduling, Planning, or Logistics from an accredited college or university is preferred.

  4. Knowledge/experience with SAP preferred

  5. High safety IQ. Ability to recognize hazards and unsafe behaviors.

  6. Ability to lead teams and provide support to achieve targeted metrics.

  7. Strong leadership skills including ability to hold direct reports accountable for their actions.

  8. Demonstrated ability to create and lead teams for successful project completion

  9. Excellent organizational skills

  10. Excellent oral and written communication skills

  11. Self-starter, motivated. High attention to detail

  12. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

  13. Ability to analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problem

  14. Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Power Point.

  15. Production and Processing; Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

  16. Judgment and Decision-making skills: Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and evaluating alternatives.

  17. Strong coordination abilities: making effective adjustments based on organizational needs.

  18. Ability to multitask.

  • The salary range for this position is $73,050 - $80,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
