What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health
Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

Responsibilities in this role
Primary responsibilities include supervising a large hourly work group in a designated department.
This role is responsible for overseeing up to 25 hourly employees who conduct the following Inbound processes:
Truck check-in and freight unloading
Product receipt
Product putaway/stocking
Organization and maintenance of regulatory-required paperwork
Vendor relations and vendor performance tracking
This role is directly responsible for the following:
Employee data tracking (available time off, attendance occurrences, policy violations, etc.)
Personal, shift, and department metrics tracking
1 on 1 meetings with employees
Project work and continuous improvement efforts
Collaboration with other leaders across shifts and departments
Qualifications
College degree or relative experience preferred
1-2 years related experience preferred
Strong communication skills
Leadership skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
