Your role and responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Accounts Payable Manager to lead and oversee our accounts payable team. This role requires a seasoned professional with a proven track record in managing AP processes, ensuring compliance, and driving process improvements. As the Accounts Payable Manager, you will play a key leadership role in developing team members, optimizing workflows, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Development:
Manage and mentor the accounts payable team, providing training and guidance to ensure high performance.
Conduct performance reviews and foster a collaborative, results-oriented work environment.
Oversee workload distribution to ensure timely and accurate processing of all accounts payable transactions.

Accounts Payable Operations:
Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice processing, payment runs, and vendor management.
Ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices while adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.
Manage complex invoice scenarios, including multi-currency transactions, intercompany payments, and expense allocations.

Vendor and Stakeholder Relations:
Maintain strong relationships with key vendors, resolving escalated disputes and ensuring continuity of services.
Collaborate with procurement, treasury, and other internal teams to align on payment terms, contract compliance, and cash flow management.

Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, SOX regulations, and other applicable standards.
Lead and support internal and external audits by preparing and providing required documentation.
Mitigate risks by establishing robust processes and controls to prevent fraud or errors.

Process Improvement and Automation:
Evaluate and optimize accounts payable workflows to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
Lead initiatives to implement or upgrade ERP systems, automation tools, and digital solutions.
Monitor industry trends and best practices to ensure the AP function remains competitive and innovative.
Required technical and professional expertise
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounts payable or finance, with at least 3 years in a management role.
Expertise in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes, financial controls, and regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, GAAP).
Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Experience in process improvement and implementing automation solutions is highly desirable.
