Eaton Corporation Engineering Change Coordinator in Guadalupe, Mexico

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Engineering Change Coordinator.

What you’ll do:

The Engineering Change Coordinator will play a critical role in managing Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and ensuring the accurate and timely loading of Bills of Materials (BOMs) into the Mapics system. This position acts as a central point of communication between engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to facilitate smooth transitions and updates to product designs.

1) Engineering Change Management:

-Manage, track, and implement Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and Engineering Change Requests (ECRs).

-Coordinate cross-functional reviews and approvals of ECNs, ensuring changes align with company goals and customer requirements.

-Maintain detailed records of ECNs and ensure timely communication with stakeholders.

2) Bill of Materials (BOM) Management:

-Create, review, and upload BOMs into Mapics with a high degree of accuracy.

-Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to validate BOM structures and ensure consistency.

-Perform regular audits of BOMs to verify accuracy and address discrepancies promptly.

3) Cross-functional Collaboration :

-Serve as the liaison between engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure smooth implementation of changes.

-Provide training or guidance to team members on ECN processes and tools.

4) Process Improvement:

-Identify opportunities to improve ECN workflows and BOM management processes.

-Support the development and maintenance of documentation related to ECN and BOM processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • Minimum of 3-7 years in engineering change management or a related role within a manufacturing environment. Experience with BOM creation and management in ERP systems (Mapics and/or SAP experience preferred).

Skills:

English level required: Conversational advanced

Preferred

*Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Mapics, SAP, Oracle).

*Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) tools and processes.

*Understanding of manufacturing processes and documentation.

*Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Power Point.

Plus

*Previous experience in plant transitions.

*Metal fab, electrical or similar industry experience.

*Power BI"
