Description of Work

This position is the Administrative Specialist I in the Camp Burton Equipment Shop. This position will serve as an assistant to the Administrative Specialist II, Area Equipment Superintendent, and Supervisors in a variety of administrative/clerical duties such as but not limited to answering the telephone, payroll entry, reconciling p-card invoices, ordering fuel for 6 equipment shops, bi-weekly fuel/oil inventory, ordering license tags/fuel keys, processing equipment accident reports and data entry. The selected applicant will work with internal/external customers in reconciling invoices daily. This position will operate a personal computer and use a variety of applications including, but not limited to, SAP, Ariba, Microsoft Word, and Excel. Ability to reference Personnel, and Policy & Procedures Manuals. This position utilizes a variety of office machines including, but not limited to, printers, copiers, calculators, scanner, and shredder. Ability to stoop and bend for filing purposes. Ability to work independently, prioritize daily tasks, process technical information, and follow oral and written instructions. General knowledge of office work procedures, methods, and practices. Assists Supervisors as needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

  • Experience with Microsoft Office using programs such as Word, and Excel

  • Experience completing and/or maintaining records and reports

  • Experience interpreting and/or explaining policies, procedures, and laws

  • Data entry experience entering and extracting information from a mainframe database or web based

Additional Expectations:

Microsoft Office and SAP experience preferred. This position is expected to work during inclement weather conditions. Selected applicant will be expected to legally operate a motor vehicle.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
