MongoDB Accounting Manager in Gurugram, India

We are looking for a highly motivated accounting professional to join the MongoDB International Financial Compliance team. This team is responsible for ensuring international entities comply with local accounting standards and filing requirements and providing local accounting advice on business and tax initiatives. Reporting to the director of International Financial Compliance in Dublin, the accounting manager will be responsible for a portfolio of entities. You will work closely with the operational teams in India, local accounting providers and auditors and cross-functionally with MDB Tax, Treasury, Legal and the wider finance team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced accountant who is interested in progressing their career in a large high growth organisation.

Responsibilities
Responsible for the statutory compliance of a portfolio of entities
Preparing or reviewing statutory trial balance and bridge file for a selection of entities
Manage the preparation of annual statutory financial statements and audit
Manage the relationship with local auditors and accounting providers
Providing technical guidance and support to team members
Supporting month end close activities
Supporting accounting requirements for local tax audits
Working on global and cross-functional projects
Continually improving internal controls
Maintaining up-to-date procedure documents
And other projects
Experience and Qualification
Bachelor and/or Master in Accounting or any related field
Qualified accountant (CA /CPA/ACCA)
PQE 3-5 years
5 years’ experience working in a similar accounting role in a shared service/ center of excellence structure or accountancy practice
2-3 years’ experience in leading audits
In-depth knowledge of statutory financial reporting under IFRS and other local GAAPs is an advantage
Good working knowledge of Tax, ESG and US GAAP is helpful
Project management skills
Language skills - English and local language
Ability to work well as part of a team or independently as required
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
Possess strong analytical skills (MS Excel), problem-solving, critical thinking and prioritization skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Experienced with Word, Excel, Google Suite and NetSuite or other ERP is an advantage
Success Measures
The Manager Compliance will be successful in this role when they can execute the following strategic tasks/responsibilities
in 3 months you will be fully on-boarded to the team and start taking responsibility to for the your portfolio of entities
in 6 months you will be proficient in the existing MongoDB process and structures and managing direct report as a functional manager
in 12 months you will have expanded your network across internal and external stakeholders and use opportunities to bring awareness of the key STAT compliance issues to the wider accounting org
