O'Neal Industries, Inc. Production Planning Manager UPM in Hamilton, Ohio
Description
Responsible for site-level inventory management metrics that will provide visibility to capacity constraints and provide KPI updates to senior management. You will have responsibility for planners at all domestic non-GM sites providing direction on company initiatives and fostering an environment of continuity and standardization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure proper practices and procedures are in place to maximize material utilization while consistently achieving inventory turns required.
Supervise production planning staff in multiple locations.
Manage Inventory Cycle Count process.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
Create stock transfer orders as needed.
Enter inventory adjustments when necessary.
Schedule the workload for all work areas on the shop floor.
Check new sales orders for accuracy and proper allocations.
Ensure Quality Control receives information regarding “positive recall” orders.
Lay out materials for all machines to ensure all sales order requirements are met.
Work with the sales department regarding the status of sales orders.
Create bar code labels as required by orders.
Work closely with the shop floor personnel to resolve paperwork and material issues.
Update job sets or assist shop floor personnel as needed.
Create sales orders for scrap material.
Adjust the cost for scrap item codes and inform the company of the cost.
Layout, monitor, and finalize all outside processing MP’s as required.
Update and send schedule daily to the Sales department.
Maintains shipment lists for contract and large-volume customers.
Perform all additional duties as requested by the manager.
Back up the Supply Chain Manager as needed.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or related field
4-5 years of experience in production planning leadership
Advanced use of Microsoft Office software and Employer Resource Planning systems
