Job Description Project Manager Position location is flexible and may office from a branch in Winona, MN or West Chester, OH Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00am - 5:00pm OVERVIEW: Working as Full-time Project Manager, you will be responsible for setting direction at both the strategic and tactical levels within the company. You will oversee specific teams of people who will plan, execute and evaluate the success of small and large scale projects. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals. RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: oManaging and coordinating project development from initiation to closure oCompleting project scope, goals, deliverables, budget and timing oCompleting work breakdown structure to estimate effort required for each task oProviding a project schedule to identify when each task will be performed and clearly communicate expectations to internal staff oPerforming all aspects throughout the project life-cycle from request, assessment, planning, execution, monitoring and optimization oResolving problems, identifying trends, and determining process/system improvements oManaging project scope by ensuring any changes to scope are documented and approved with project change request oMonitoring staff levels to ensure project completion oTracking and reporting on project milestones and providing status reports oLeading, coaching and motivating project team members on a proactive basis oPerforming a post-project evaluation to determine how well results were achieved oCompleting project documentation following project completion REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: The following skills and qualifications are required for this position: o Possess a degree in Business or a related field o Possess at least 2 years of project management work experience o Excellent written and oral communication skills o Ability to rapidly adapt and respond to changes o Demonstrate strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills o Ability to elicit cooperation from multiple internal departments o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork o Ability to pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY) PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: oPossess Six Sigma, Lean or a related certification oPossess a Master's Degree and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification ABOUT US: Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
