The General Laborers are responsible for the day-to-day safe operations throughout the plant. The general laborer is used to assist as assigned through the facility which includes but not limited to stacking off paper rolls, changing of the paper rolls, waste bailing, and any extra help needed around the facility.

Essential Functions:

• Follow all safety protocols.
• Moving and lifting heavy rolls of paper.
• Examine products or work to verify conformance to specifications.
• Sort manufacturing materials or products.
• Load, unload, or stack off rolls.
• Monitor production machinery/equipment operation to detect problems.
• Clean work area during down time and end of shift.
• Constant standing, walking, and reaching at or below shoulder level.
• Other duties to be assigned for specific location in the plant.

Required Education and Experience:

• A high school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience preferred.
• Will need to read, write, and perform basic math.
• Will train but prior work experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

• Mechanical Skills a plus

This position works in the manufacturing and warehouse setting, in an uncontrolled climate environment.
