We are currently seeking entry level candidates who are detail-oriented and eager to develop their skills in both Logistic and Configuration Management. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of systems and tools used in drawing development/distribution.
What You Will Do
Develops basic data and makes preliminary layouts, sketches, and notes necessary to produce accurate CAD drawings.
Conduct ship-checks utilizing various measuring tools to mark-up drawings to match as-found conditions for spaces impacted by the upgrades and installations of systems.
Checks completed layouts and drawings for clarity, completeness, conformity to standards, procedures, and accuracy of calculations and dimensioning.
Identifies errors, omissions, and other deficiencies, and recommends revisions and/or improvements in design layout to responsible engineers or designers.
What You Must Have
Associates Degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 0 years experience; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years related experience.
Candidate must be able to work both onsite and Hybrid
Candidate must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint)
Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain/or have a passport
Candidate must be a team player and have good customer service skills
Candidate must be a problem solver
Candidate must have experience working on Aircraft carriers
Bonus Points For Having!
Basic Naval Ships Drawing Knowledge.
Prior Naval service knowledge of Combat Systems, electrical, mechanical maintenance background and a broad technical understanding of naval ships.
Experience using Adobe Acrobat and photoshop.
Physical Requirements
Office, industrial or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances during site surveys. Lifting and moving of materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one man lift. Must be able to perform site surveys and carry a lap top computer.
