We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Patient Account Associate in Hanford, California. The role involves working in a healthcare setting, where you will be responsible for managing patient accounts, including medical billing and collection activities. This position is onsite in Hanford, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, correct, and submit claims to payers, utilizing basic to developing knowledge and experience.

• Communicate with patients, government agencies, and third-party payers to gather, process, and record information necessary for appropriate reimbursement.

• Review unpaid accounts, initiate corrective actions to collect the accounts, and follow up to ensure expected results are achieved.

• Initiate collection actions for past due and denied claims.

• Calculate write-offs and debit or credit adjustments.

• Post insurance and personal payments to the correct account and calculate, verify, and post contractual adjustments to the correct patient account.

• Meet or exceed productivity and quality performance expectations.

• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Education and Work Experience:

• High School Education/GED or equivalent

• Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred

• Healthcare billing experience: Preferred
