DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will be tasked with establishing financial policies and procedures, developing accounting methodologies, preparing financial statements necessary to determine disproportionate share amounts, and recording the receipt of federal reimbursements. You will manage a team of skilled accountants to prepare cost reports, oversee fiscal policies, and provide technical advice on Medicaid issues. Additionally, you will provide support and direction to the program offices regarding any changes that affect federal reimbursement claims covering administrative and service-oriented expenditures, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. You will be required to report to the headquarters office at least one day per month and other additional days as needed. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as an Accountant 2; or Three years of progressively responsible professional accounting experience, and graduation from a four-year college or university, including or supplemented by fifteen credits in accounting. Four years of bookkeeping experience and fifteen college credits in accounting may be substituted for college graduation. A Master's degree in Accounting or a related field may be substituted for one year of general work experience.
