DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Attorney 2, you will provide legal counsel on issues within the jurisdiction of the Investigative and Administrative Divisions of the Commission, including assisting with ongoing investigations, preparing investigative complaints and findings reports and other administrative documents seeking civil and administrative penalties, engaging in settlement negotiations, and representing the Investigative and Administrative Divisions in hearings before the Commission.

Additional responsibilities include responding to staff and citizen questions, and serving as a liaison with other state agencies, law enforcement, regulatory entities, governmental authorities, and citizen groups.  You will also have the opportunity to conduct trainings on the Ethics Act to public officials, public employees, and the general public.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Intrastate travel is required, including occasional overnight stay. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 2 days per week, subject to agency operational needs.  In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.  If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: You must possess and maintain a valid license to practice Law, as issued by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court; and You must possess 2 or more years of professional legal experience, preferably in the areas of litigation, prosecution and or financial investigations.

Additional Requirements: You must possess a valid Pennsylvania's Driver's License. You must be willing and able to work in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, as well as perform occasional intrastate and/or overnight travel. This position requires curiosity, creativity, professionalism, initiative, attention to detail, patience, and a strong interest in good and honest government. You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications (not required): Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite applications, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook Strong investigative skills and knowledge.
