Red Hat Cleared Maintenance Engineer (CME) Technical Account Manager (TAM) - OpenShift Container Platform in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
About The Job
The Red Hat Public Sector Services team is looking for an cleared, enterprise-level engineer with a background in OpenShift Container technologies to join us as a Cleared Maintenance Engineer (CME) Technical Account Manager (TAM) in Maryland. In this role, you will partner closely with a public sector customer to provide architectural guidance and implementation advice for the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform suite of solutions. This is not a sales role. You'll be a dedicated customer engagement associate and a member of the Red Hat engineering and technical support teams. As a CME Technical Account Manager, will provide a level of premium support that builds, maintains, and grows long-lasting customer loyalty by tailoring support for our customer's environments, facilitating collaboration with their other vendors, and advocating on their behalf.
This position requires 2-3 days/week on a customer site in Maryland and an active Secret or Top Secret clearance .
What You Will Do
• Support public sector customers in implementing automated and containerized cloud application platform solutions
• Learn new technologies quickly, including topics like container orchestration, container registries, container build strategies, and microservices on container platforms
• Perform technical reviews and share knowledge to proactively identify and prevent issues
• Gain understanding of customer technical infrastructures, hardware, and offerings and serve as a customer advocate within Red Hat
• Collaborate with the engineering, R&D, product management, and technical support teams
• Create documentation regarding customer issues and technical details on how to resolve them
• Manage and grow customer relationships by delivering attentive, relationship-based support
• Provide hands on keyboard support as needed
• 2-3 days on customer site each week
What You Will Bring
• U.S. citizenship to fulfill government contract
• Active U.S. government security clearance
• Experience with cloud management, like Red Hat OpenShift and associated tooling
• Competent comprehension of enterprise architecture and strategic business drivers
• Direct experience with a variety of hardware vendors
• Ability to manage multiple issues and projects with shifting priorities and timelines
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey complex information to customers clearly and concisely
• Comprehension of continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) concepts
• Familiarity with source code management tools like Git or SVN
• Willingness to work onsite 2-3 days each week as agreed upon with the customer
• Willingness to provide after-hours coverage (on-call duty)
The following are not required, but would be beneficial:
• Bachelor's degree in a technology-related discipline, preferably computer science or engineering
• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification
• Previous practical experience with Red Hat technologies, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Red Hat Satellite, Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, Red Hat OpenStack Platform, Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, etc.
• Experience with cloud computing and different cloud providers like Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Compute Platform (GCP), or IBM Cloud
• Software engineering background
• Experience working in DevOps environments
• Experience deploying applications in cloud environments and developing containerized applications
The salary range for this position is $111,380.00 - $178,290.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
