Accountable for the high quality of all products produced, the profitability of the facility, the safety of employees, security of the facility, budget planning, management and control, human resource utilization and treatment, and the development of a total employee team. Responsible that plant labor, raw material, yields; supplies, waste and human resources are managed in the most effective manner, resulting in a positive contribution to the bottom line of the company P&L. Core Responsibilities P&L: Understands the drivers in each business unit to deliver corporate objectives for sales growth and profits. Oversees the total P&L for all business units. Sales: Responsible for all Sales, FP&A, Procurement, Operations, and site-specific staff leadership. Establishes sales channel strategies for new business development. Motivates, hires and develops teams, both internal and external, that meet and exceed the annual sales plan for growth and profit margins. Leadership: Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of all department units in support of company goals. Collaborates with, motivates, and leads the management team to develop and implement effective operational structure for all systems, processes, and personnel. Ensures all activities related to human capital management and Affirmative Action efforts are executed. Utilizes Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to evaluate ongoing performance and provide goal assessments and focused direction in all value-added areas. Yield & Labor: Establishes achievable goals and follows up all progress; positive or negative. Trains and coaches supervisors/management to recognize opportunities and realize their impact on the operation. Tracks progress of yields, labor, and all related expenses. Identifies opportunities and implement solutions. Formulates or approves short-and long-term operating objectives in areas such as cost reduction, quality improvement, new product development and/or integration as undertaken at the plant level. Evaluate organizational requirements and enacting plans and strategy to ensure value generation can be sustained and grown. Budget: Establishes accurate fixed and capital budgets for annual planning purposes. Works to ensure operation is functioning to cost and budget so all aspects of the operation contribute to the total P&L. Safety & Quality: Ensures efficient and profitable operations by conformation to specifications and procedures. Training: Trains, manages, and directs all support staff activities to include HR/Safety, Food Safety/QA, Accounting, Maintenance and Production supervision.
