Position Summary
Clinical Insights & Analytics is an effective and respected department in Medical Affairs. Reporting to the VP of Clinical Quality under the Aetna Chief Medical Officer, the CI&A team is comprised of an Executive Director, a Lead Analytics Director, 2 senior level program managers and 3 senior analysts that support a project portfolio for 10 clinical teams. The individuals in this role report to the Lead Analytics Director. We enjoy a collaborative team environment with a high level of autonomy and job satisfaction.
This is an end-to-end senior analytics role with emphasis on understanding a business case, ability to translate into analytic solutions and clearly articulate/present findings to clinical staff and related business partners. The primary function is to collaborate with business partners to understand their business case/clinical question, develop predictive modeling, statistical analysis, data reports and performance metrics.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with several high profile, innovative clinically focused teams to identify and evaluate opportunities to improve the quality and cost effectiveness of health care that Aetna members receive.

Required Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following experience/knowledge/ability:
• 7+ years Healthcare analytics experience
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to use business acumen and data to develop and present meaningful information
• Ability to extract and blend data from multiple sources to build a data story to support a business case and evaluate the expected financial impact of potential new or revised clinical strategies.
• Technical proficiency with analytic and modeling tools and software (SAS, SQL, Python, R, Excel etc.)
• Strong oral and written communication skills; Ability to communicate analytic results and findings to non-technical audience
• Ability to handle multiple, complex projects in a fast-paced environment
• High levels of self-motivation and attention to detail
• Perform analyses of structured and unstructured data to solve multiple and/or complex business problems
• Demonstrates strong ability to communicate technical concepts and implications to business partners
• Proficiency in data warehousing structure and query tools
Preferred Qualifications
• Process data from multiple sources via big data platforms (such as GCP)
• Experience in Visual Analytics tools (Tableau, Power BI)
• Experience in ROI modeling
• Experience with downstream clinical analytic applications (ETG, ERG, HPD etc.)
• Experience in contracting strategies and pricing
• Experience in clinical coding
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Business/Healthcare Analytics, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related discipline.
Master's degree preferred
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$82,940.00 - $182,549.40
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
