Robert Half Senior Accountant in Hartford, Wisconsin
Description We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Hartford, Wisconsin, United States. In this role, you'll be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, from detailed account reconciliations to high-level budgeting and policy development. Your focus will be on delivering a work product that accurately reflects our financial situation.
Responsibilities:
• Manage accounts payable and receivable to ensure accurate record-keeping
• Handle payroll, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations
• Prepare and present monthly financial reports, ensuring they accurately reflect our economic condition
• Work on account reconciliations, making sure all records are up-to-date and accurate
• Assist the CFO or controller with their duties as needed
• Identify complex causal relationships within the accounting process and leverage available resources to find effective solutions
• Shift focus between high-level accounting tasks and granular duties as required
• Collaborate with team members, ask specific questions, and clearly communicate thoughts
• Understand and apply knowledge of our operations to the organization's accounting processes
• Use moderate to advanced computer operations relating to the Microsoft suite of products, specifically Microsoft Excel
• Identify irregularities within large data sets and resolve them to avoid flawed financial reporting
• Utilize skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, and other key software such as Navision and ADP - Payroll. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Senior Accountant role or similar position
• Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations
• Demonstrated knowledge of general ledger management and journal entries
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel required
• Experience with month end close procedures
• Familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP
• Capability to handle month-end close activities, month-end financial duties, and month-end journal entries
• Proven experience in monthly account reconciliation, monthly accruals, and generating monthly financial statements
• Understanding of annual standard cost procedures
• Proficiency in cost accounting, with a focus on manufacturing cost accounting and standard cost accounting
• Experience with Navision software is desirable
• Experience with ADP payroll system is a plus
