American Express National Bank (AENB) is American Express’ U.S. banking operation serving consumer and small business customers with payments, financing, and savings products. AENB accounts for more than 60% of the overall company’s revenues and net income. AENB HQ drives the administration of programs and services provided by AENB, in partnership with the various businesses, functions and executive officers. The AENB COO Office also plays an enterprise role in driving greater consistency, effectiveness, and efficiency across the first line via its Strategic Planning, Control Management, Program Management, and Governance functions.
The Analyst, Enterprise and AENB Affiliate Quality Assurance (QA) will be responsible for the execution of American Express’s affiliate QA function. Specifically, this position will execute QA activities across the third-party lifecycle (pre- and post- contract) to assess the effectiveness and consistency of the affiliate management program and its processes.
Responsibilities:
Execute procedures and processes to perform QA testing of the affiliate management program, which will drive consistency and improvement within the program and ensure adherence to the Interagency Guidance on Third Party Relationships: Risk Management.
Execute reporting on adequacy of pre- and post-contract process steps to drive consistency of affiliate management across American Express.
Review affiliate management procedures and processes and identify and write test scripts for points of QA testing.
Perform objective evaluation of documentation submitted to verify satisfaction of program requirements.
Identify owners for QA errors and track remediation through to completion.
Minimum Qualifications:
Self-motivated individual who can combine outstanding problem-resolution and critical thinking skills with a business and risk lens.
Demonstrable ability to take complex technical information and translate it into clear communications (presentations/memos) for a variety of audiences.
Strong attention to detail and a proven ability to proactivity identify areas of potential risk and implement processes to control and mitigate that risk.
Ability to strategically identify patterns in QA errors and collaborate with other affiliate management teams to recommend and implement relevant process improvements.
Ability to review procedures and processes and identify test points and write test scripts for QA testing.
