Job Description:

Under direct supervision, is responsible for the purchase of both inventory and non-inventory items to support production and Manufacturing Repair and Overhead (MRO) requirements for the company. The selected candidate must have the ability to perform the essential duties & responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation. The duties and responsibilities may change from time to time without notice and include but is not limited to the duties described below.

Essential Functions:

  • Prepare requests for quotations and analyzes bids. Make recommendations based on price and delivery requirements.

  • Review previous price history and past Supplier performance with respect to quality and delivery; prepare price analysis and document purchase order file.

  • Prepare purchase orders in accordance with established Purchasing Manual Policies.

  • Reconcile invoice discrepancies with Supplier and Accounting Department.

  • Process the return of discrepant material to Supplier of origin. Obtain delivery of compliant material or credit for its value.

  • Expedite material to meet production build schedules.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associate’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience in active procurement/buying electronics-manufacturing environment.

  • Must possess excellent communication skills with ability to exchange information and interface effectively with employees, customers, and visitors clearly and concisely.

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
