We seek leaders who are committed to the community college mission, actively engaged in promoting diversity, and prepared to use their unique strengths and innovation with the goal of student success. * Job Description:* POSITION: Part-Time Program Coordinator/Classroom Support Specialist - Tower Grant (Special Program Coordinator): *Center for Accessibility Resources & Services; Haverhill Campus; MCCC/MTA Unit Professional Position; 28 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, 9:00am - 4:00pm (Consideration for 1 day of remote work after 3 months in position); MCCC Position, 2-year grant funded position *SUMMARY: In collaboration with Director, responsible for assisting with the Tower Grant Program development, staff and faculty development, policy development and implementation, and grant preparation. Provide direct classroom services to students incorporating Universal Design strategies and assistive technologies. RESPONSIBILITIES: Specific duties for this position include: Program Development: * Coordinates Tower Foundation Grant program administration and activities. Identifies, establishes, and evaluates program services; develops, proposes, and provides relevant data to outside funding/oversight agencies. Assists with grant preparation. * Provides professional development and training to college faculty and staff to promote the inclusion and success for students. Promotes universal design in the college curriculum. * Performs administrative tasks associated which include collecting and reporting of statistical data and analysis, coordinating meetings, assisting in monitoring budget expenditures. * Coordinate, develop, and promote application of universal designed strategies and supports for students within the college learning environment. * Collaborates with instructors on curriculum development with regard to technology integration. * Identifies technology integration competencies and delivers appropriate coaching, training, and resources to support the students and professional growth of instructors. Direct Services/Classroom Academic Assistant: * Provides direct service and training in the classroom. PLEASE APPLY VIA THE LINK BELOW: https://necc.interviewexchange.com/jobofferdetails.jsp?JOBID=184710 Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, Education Technology Counseling, Psychology, Business Administration, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other field related to area of assignment; with three (3) years experience and/or training involving area of assignment, which may include college registration, academic advisement, career development, career experience, training, curriculum development, audio/visual or graphic production, grant administration, budget development, program/project management, event planning, administrative work in an academic environment, or personal computer operations; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. * Experience using assistive technologies in the classroom. * Knowledge of accommodations for students with special needs to access general curriculum. * Ability to coach and train teachers in the integration of technologies into the classroom. * Effective instructional delivery techniques and excellent communication skills. * In-depth knowledge of computer instructional applications and curriculum development. * Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. * Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships w/students, faculty & staff. * Ability to work well under the demands of an academic timetable; to manage and prioritize a variety of tasks; and to work independently and as part of a team. * Demonstrated experience in the use of Microsoft, Google, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint and learning management systems, such as Black Board * Experience with students with disabilities in a classroom setting (i.e. Autism, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Psychological Chronic Health etc.) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Master's Degree in Education, Rehabilitation Counseling, Special Education or related field. * 7 years' experience working within disability services or related field. * Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the laws governing disability services in higher education. * Demonstrated experience and knowledge in policy and program development. * Demonstrated experience developing and facilitating disability awareness training. * Demonstrated strong interpersonal, organizational, and administrative skills. * Demonstrated experience collaborating with a diverse group of people. * Ability to travel between Haverhill and Lawrence campuses. * Bilingual (Spanish/English) * Experience working with and supporting a culturally diverse population and non-traditional learners BACKGROUND CHECK: Candidates will be required to pass a CORI and SORI check as a condition of employment. * Additional Information:* SALARY: *Anticipated starting salary is $51,411.36 ($35.31/hour) annually with complete fringe benefit package. Actual salary calculated in compliance with MCCC/MTA classification system.
