We are looking for:

The Materials Planner is responsible for the near term coordination and preparation of supply/demand plans (including inventory plans) for all specified raw materials and finished goods.

We count on you for:

  • Drawing up finite plans on an ongoing weekly basis to maximize material usage.

  • Daily review and optimization of finite planning schedules taking into account operational and material changes along with business requirement/need.

  • Defining and communicating raw material concerns/issues and impact to finite production schedule.

  • Responsible for the near term coordination and preparation of specified materials supply and Managing Inventory.

  • Optimize manufacturing and customer service as it relates to specified materials (balance between manufacturing cost and inventory carrying cost).

  • Analyze risks associated with inventory (too much or too little) and define alternatives / recommendations, Utilize inventory tools to manage specified materials inventory demand plans.

  • Development of monthly supply demand plan providing visibility to specified material demands and associated supply, identify barriers / constraints, and make recommendations for resolving gaps.

  • Communication of specified material needs to suppliers (internal and external) as outlined in MRP system Procurement.

  • Support site personnel in resolution of problems with specified material suppliers, elevating to higher levels within the global procurement group.

  • Point of contact with specified material suppliers to coordinate raw material qualifications weekly analysis of specified manufactured and purchased materials & end of month inventory valuation.

  • Identification of product cross referencing internally and inter-company, SMOG analysis, opportunities for SMOG/scrap sales/inventory transfer to other site.

  • Coordinate production order adjustments or purchase order modification to maximize inventory usage.

You will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • 3-5 years of Material Planning experience.

  • Highly developed problem solving skills and capable of assimilating information and making informed decisions under pressure.

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills in order to ensure efficient communication exchange with all departments at all levels and suppliers.

  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and their interdependencies.

  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.

  • Demonstrate the ability to quickly assess any constraint situation and apply what-if scenario planning using the commercial upside / risk demand numbers.

  • Establish supplier OT/OQ measurements through effective use of vendor rating tools and supplier feedback meetings.

  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $94,960 to $118,700 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
