We are looking for:
The Quality Lab Technician is responsible for analyzing raw material to meet quality specifications at our Havre de Grace, MD site.
We count on you for:
Prepares various size metals for testing application
Assembles the necessary materials to achieve the required test specimen
Performs lab tests according to prescribed specification and procedures
Operates necessary equipment and/or materials to perform the referred to job duties
Makes critical observations through the entire work process
Performs the necessary calculations, records test results, and maintains the required paperwork
Perform mixing and coating procedures, maintain clean work area, and equipment
Contribute to the continuation of quality system AS9100 certification
Participate in site safety, quality and operations improvement initiatives
Prepare, completing, updating and maintaining all reports, records, and documentation as assigned
Adher to all site, company and regulatory standards, policies, rules, and requirements
Operate and maintaining lab equipment and supplies
Assist in instrument troubleshooting

You will bring:
High school diploma. Associate’s degree in Science or Math preferred.
2 years of experience in a lab environment, preferably with experience in adhesives or other aerospace materials.
Previous experience at an industrial chemical manufacturing facility preferred.
Fundamental understanding of chemical instrumentation.
Ability to speak and write in a manner that can easily be understood.
Good numerical reasoning and process problem solving skills.
Must possess above average math and analytical skills.Proven ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and manage competing priorities effectively.
Ability to work independently and safely with minimal supervision.
Highly responsive to rapidly changing needs in a dynamic work environment.

The salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $31.52 per hour. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.

Additional information:
This is a 3rd shift position (11:00 pm-7:00 am)
Any candidate considered for the technician position will be required to take a laboratory skills assessment test. The test includes math; conversions, instrument reading, etc.
