Van Dyk Park Place- Assisted Living is interviewing for a Porter/Utility person in our Kitchen: Address: 644 Goffle Rd, Hawthorne, NJ

Pay Rate: $15.49 p/h Shift: 7a-3p / 11a-7p

ABILITY

  • Assures that all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.

  • Develops and maintains a good working rapport with interdepartmental personnel, as well as other departments within the facility to assure that food service can be properly maintained to meet the needs of the residents. • Assists in daily and scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures.

  • Works the dishwashing station as needed and maintains all temperature logs

  • Cleans work areas, refrigerators, freezers, etc. as assigned and maintains all temperature logs

  • Organizes stock rooms and walk-in refrigerators and freezers

  • Puts away inventory from deliveries

  • Returns clean utensils to proper storage areas.

  • Attends and participates in in-service education programs.

  • Prepares food, etc. in accordance with sanitary regulations, as well as our established policies and procedures.

  • Ensures that safety regulations are always followed.

  • Follows established infection / exposure control and universal precautions policies and procedures when performing daily tasks.

  • Assures that the department is maintained in a clean and safe manner by assuring that necessary equipment and supplies are maintained to perform such duties / services.

  • Reports all hazardous conditions/equipment to the executive chef and or administration.

  • Performs other related duties as required, or as may be directed
