job summary:

The Quality Inspector, an integral part of the Quality Inspection team within the broader Quality Operations department, plays a crucial role in ensuring adherence to rigorous quality standards in both the Manufacturing and Medical Device industries. This position is primarily responsible for overseeing Quality Finished Goods Inspection and/or Quality Raw Materials Inspection, supporting Manufacturing operations seamlessly. Additionally, the Inspector will engage in various general Quality Operations duties.

responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspection and verification activities throughout the manufacturing process, strictly adhering to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).

  • Inspect and release raw materials, in-process materials, components, and finished goods.

  • Validate various manufacturing steps and techniques to ensure compliance.

  • Manage tagging and de-tagging of discrepant materials.

  • Oversee the release of packaged products into the warehouse.

  • Maintain and dispose of quality retains appropriately.

  • Ensure control and verification of patient labels.

  • Archive quality records meticulously.

General Quality Duties:

  • Monitor production lines and personnel closely to ensure compliance with specifications and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements.

  • Perform final packaging inspections of the final product and document results accurately.

  • Collaborate with relevant departments to address product quality issues before final product release.

  • Ensure proper segregation and identification practices during manufacturing or rework processes.

  • Demonstrate effective communication across all departments and management levels.

  • Fulfill other assigned duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, or Associate degree with 1-2 years of related experience, or High School diploma with 2-4 years of related experience.

  • Prior experience in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, bioscience, or other FDA-regulated environments is essential.

  • Familiarity with cGMP and FDA requirements is mandatory.

  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques is advantageous.
