Description:

• We are seeking a Chief Electrical Estimator with extensive experience in mission critical, healthcare, and/or industrial (water waste water) sectors

• Experience in high-tech aerospace, aviation, and infrastructure is highly preferred

• The ideal candidate will possess strong conceptual estimating skills to train and guide their team

• This high-pressure, high-demand role requires comprehensive knowledge across all aspects of the business and strong client interaction skills

• Electrical experience is mandatory

• The Chief Estimator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the Estimating and Preconstruction team for various electrical construction projects

• This includes administering operating budgets, staffing, work assignments, salary, and performance reviews

• The Chief Estimator will also support and administer all department standards and procedures as well as be responsible for the final review and approvals of estimate packages

• We will consider titles like Operations Manager, Director, Preconstruction Director, Managing Director, and Senior Level Estimator

• Based in Northern Denver

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field

• Previous experience as a Lead or Senior Level Estimator

• 10+ years of electrical construction estimating experience

• Knowledgeable of current local and national electrical codes (N.E.C.)

• Advanced knowledge of assigned discipline, construction technology, estimating techniques and cost control

• Able to read and understand civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, etc. plans and specifications to include blueprints, proposals, and other relevant design documents

• Knowledgeable of electrical materials and methods of installation

• Possesses a strategic mindset and sound judgment and ability to develop and manage strategic capture plans

• Ability to interpret computerized cost data and systems

• Ability to perform arithmetic calculations required for estimating

• Ability to estimate all types of projects and to coordinate and supervise group work effort

• Ability to identify and meet customers’ needs, expectations, and requirements

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of specific variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

• Proficient in using computers, Microsoft Office applications, Accubid, and Bluebeam

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and changing priorities as necessary

• Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude

• Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal, written, and communication skills

• Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player

• Ability to build relationships with teams and oversee strategic actions with others

• Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others

• Self-driven with the ability to stay on-task for extended periods of time while working independently
