Description

We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant with heavy rebate accounting experience! This role primarily focuses on the retail sector and involves key accounting operations, including full cycle rebate accounting, reconciliation, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the process of customer credit applications to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

• Responsible for the reconciliation of income statements.

• Handle the maintenance of customer credit records.

• Conduct general ledger operations and prepare journal entries.

• Execute adjustments entries as required.

• Engage in detailed account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management and financial analysis.

• Oversee the month-end close procedures.

• Handle rebate accounting operations and reporting.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.

Requirements • Must hold a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Minimum of 7 years' experience in a similar role is required

• Proficiency in account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation

• Experience in bank reconciliations is mandatory

• Must have knowledge of general ledger management

• Ability to perform journal entries with accuracy

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary

• Familiarity with month-end close processes

• Experience in managing rebate calculations and applications

• Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

• Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion

• Ability to meet deadlines and manage stress effectively in high-pressure situations

• Strong understanding of business and income tax worksheets and computations

• Must be legally eligible to work in the specified location.
