McDonald's HR Generalist in HENRIETTA, New York

Job Title: HR Generalist

Organization: Sharel Ventures/NGEN Corp dba McDonald’s

Pay Range: $24 to $28.50/hour.

Reports to: HR & Training Director

Employee Type: Full-time

Job Summary

The HR Generalist plays a key role in implementing, supporting and continuously improving HR systems and routines that drive organizational results. This role leads or assists in aspects of HR functions including creating a culture of care, benefits administration, the employee life cycle, compliance and administrative tasks that drive organizational success.

Key Responsibilities

1.Creating a Culture of Care

•Act as a point of contact for team member questions, concerns and grievances.

•Addresses claims of Harassment, Discrimination, Retaliation and/or Workplace Violence with integrity and with a sense of urgency.

•Manages the team member Listening Survey process.

•Supports organizational Employee Recognition Platform

2.Benefits Administration

•Coordinate and communicate team member benefits programs such as health insurance and 401k.

•Assist team members with enrollment and benefit related questions.

•Ensure all Federal, New York State and local benefit regulations are met.

•Supports payroll routines.

3.Recruitment, Onboarding and Retention

•Collaborate with Supervisors, General Managers, and People Managers to determine staffing needs and recruitment processes.

•Conducts team member and Managers in Training (MIT) orientations.

•Track and analyze HR metrics such as turnover, absenteeism and recruitment efficiency.

•Monthly & Quarterly reporting

4.Compliance

•Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

•Ensure company policies comply with applicable labor laws.

•Complete audits of employee files to ensure accuracy of HR records

Qualifications

•1-3 years of experience in HR or related field

•HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR)

Skills

•Strong understanding of HR principles, labor laws, and regulations.

•Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality.

•Exemplar self-accountability, interpersonal and communication skills.

•Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.

•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Work Environment

•Partially office-based and partially working with leaders and team members in the restaurants.

oOur organizational office is located in Pittsford, New York.

oOur 13 restaurants are located in Monroe, Ontario, Seneca, and Yates counties.

•Work availability must include mornings and 2 – 4 evenings per month.

•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with diverse teams.
