The Hershey Company Manager Privacy Compliance Operations & Digital Governance in Hershey, Pennsylvania

Location: Hershey, PA Note: Position can be remote, Northeast highly preferred due to monthly travel to Hershey, PA. Dept. / Function: Legal: Privacy / Summary:/ This role reports to the Senior Manager Privacy & Digital Compliance and will provide strategic and operational leadership across our enterprise for our privacy and compliance systems and operations. This role will also provide leadership and support for ongoing digital governance related operations. The Hershey Company’s Legal department leads these critical initiatives in order to support the business in driving growth and consumer engagement while complying with regulatory and ethical standards. / *Major Duties/Responsibilities: */ ⦁ Management of day-to-day system capabilities and workflows related to supporting individual rights of consumers, employees, and customers. ⦁ Work with Legal and Privacy Leadership to understand priorities and then effectively direct technical backlog for Information Services business partners. ⦁ Oversee and direct set up and configuration of data privacy, governance, and compliance workflows and solutions (e.g. OneTrust). ⦁ Working with technical and non-technical stakeholders across business teams to help build a privacy program that addresses the business needs across the organization. ⦁ Manage the roll out of new features and any new capabilities added or activated in these solutions. ⦁ Direct, implement, and develop new processes as needed to ensure compliance for consumers, customers, and personnel data subjects. ⦁ Support continuous process improvement and simplification efforts benefiting privacy team and business it supports, including developing and publishing privacy tenets, compliance standards, best practices, checklists, and self-service resources for business partners. ⦁ Provide privacy operations leadership and direction over Hershey’s implementation of the Adobe Experience Platform. ⦁ Maintain expert and professional knowledge of enterprise data and digital governance standards and methods. ⦁ Responsible for developing and advancing strategies, plans, and systems to effectively manage and minimize risk related to data retention, data minimization, and purpose limitations. ⦁ Manage data minimization strategies and enforcement and guide the business regarding digital governance and data minimization practices. ⦁ Partner with the commercial business to manage and track the purpose of company data and provide recommended controls to govern the processing of data. ⦁ Oversee and audit enterprise use of digital and data, ensuring compliance with applicable standards. ⦁ Responsible for managing, organizing, and creating standards for team documentation and training resources. ⦁ Research, design, and develop future compliance capabilities as the business necessitates. ⦁ Share approaches to optimize company approaches to Privacy. / *Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities: */ ⦁ 5+ years of related work experience, preferably in CPG, product and/or capabilities innovation. ⦁ In-depth knowledge of industry’s privacy standards and regulations or previous operational experience. ⦁ Deep understanding of global privacy and global digital governance regulations, such as UK and EU’s GDPR, Canada’s PIPEDA, China’s PIPL, US laws such as CCPA and HIPAA; and other global privacy regulations, as well as digital accessibility, CANSPAM, NIST, COPPA, etc. ⦁ Experience operationalizing some or all of the obligations described in the regulations mentioned above. ⦁ Knowledge of Records of Processing Activities (GDPR Article 30) requirements. ⦁ Knowledge or experience using privacy tools/solutions: e.g., TrustArc, OneTrust, ServiceNow, Securiti, etc. ⦁ Experience implementing Privacy Impact Assessments and Digital Governance Assessments. ⦁ Knowledge regarding cookie compliance and individual privacy rights processes. ⦁ Experience working with multiple teams and business functions to deliver optimal business outcomes. ⦁ A proven track record of success in an environment that demands a sound understanding of the need to balance complex privacy regulation issues and obligations within structural and operational realities. Strong focus on business partnering and solutioning and ability to operate effectively in a matrix structure. ⦁ Poise and ability to act calmly and competently in high-pressure, high-stress situations. ⦁ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, able to manage multiple projects under strict timelines, work well in a demanding dynamic environment and meet overall objectives. Prefer experience as a Developer with a digital platform provider, digital agency, or within an IT organization. ⦁ High level of personal integrity, and the ability to professionally handle confidential matters and show an appropriate level of judgment and maturity. ⦁ High degree of initiative, dependability, and ability to work with little supervision. ⦁ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook. Experience with analytical tools and flowcharting tools, such as Microsoft Visio. ⦁ Strong working knowledge of software development lifecycle and applicable lifecycle management.
