Fairview Range is hiring a Maintenance I Tech for our Facilities Department in Hibbing, MN!
As a Maintenance I team member, you will undertake a diverse range of tasks encompassing general mechanical upkeep and proactive maintenance. Your responsibilities will span inspections, servicing, repair, and the comprehensive overhaul of equipment and facilities at Range Regional Health Services. This entails the maintenance of refrigeration, cooling, and air conditioning systems, as well as the construction, repair, and upkeep of wooden structures such as furniture, equipment, partitions, and various components within RRHS facilities. You will be equipped with hand and power tools as needed for these tasks. Additionally, this role involves the operation and maintenance of boilers and other auxiliary equipment crucial for steam production, supplying both heating and power systems.
Schedule: This position will work 72-80 hours per two weeks. The shift length will be 8-hours on the day/evening shifts. This will include a rotating schedule, weekday and weekend on-call hours.

As a Maintenance tech, you will be responsible for:
Repairing and maintaining equipment and systems as needed. Responsible for the maintenance of the plant, facilities, fixtures, and equipment, as advised.
Performing electrical work under supervision.
Operating and maintaining boilers.
Providing security for patients, employees, and visitors.
Implementing a preventative maintenance schedule and equipment management program.
Performing a variety of general maintenance, repairs, overhaul, and construction duties in all hospital buildings.
Assisting other trade personnel, as needed.
Performing diversified duties as assigned by the Manager of POM.
Required Qualifications:
Two-year technical degree and/or comparable knowledge and experience in building maintenance and repair proven through verifiable work experience.
Must possess Second Class B boiler license and a valid MN Class D driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with equipment management and preventative maintenance schedules desirable.
One Time Reduction:
If no applicants meet the minimum requirements, consideration will be given to those who are willing to obtain a Second Class B boiler license within 18 months of hire. Preference will be given to those with their Special Engineering license.
$16.04-$49.19 / Hourly
