USAF PBL: Warehouse Supervisor

Job Summary

Analyzes, organizes, plans and administers various phases of day-to-day provisioning, spares, or maintenance/repair activities for one or more basic programs using established procedures. Analyzes basic contractual documents, technical data, customer usage data, customer maintenance practices, customer operation characteristics, and related reports for assigned contracts to determine spares provisioning or maintenance/repair requirements. Assists in developing logistics plans in order to enhance distribution of goods and supplies. Follows established policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control. Assists in conducting distribution and network studies, monitors inventory and analyzes requirements in order to develop strategies to achieve desired delivery times. Requires in-depth knowledge and experience. Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve Group’s products or services. Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions. Works independently, receives minimal guidance. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Requires conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related discipline. Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market. Has in-depth knowledge of DOD, Agency, and/or industry standards and engineering requirements. Acts as a mentor or advisory resource for colleagues with less experience; may run small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements. Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information. Impacts a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams; works within broad Program/ Department/Section guidelines and policies. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. May have formal, but limited, supervision of team members at a Department level to include verification of time cards, oversight of daily tasks/schedules and input into performance appraisals. May be the primary customer contact for assigned area of responsibility. Typically requires a college or University Degree in Business related disciplines that focus on Supply Chain, Purchasing and/or Logistics or the related combination of education and experience that provides knowledge and exposure to the fundamental theories, principles and concepts within the specified discipline. May be entry level for those with an advanced degree. Typically requires 4 to 7 years of relevant experience.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the organization's daily logistical operations, including inventory control.

  • Reviews inventory to ensure that product adjustments are properly applied.

  • Plans and schedules Kits to internal customers based on production needs.

  • Ensures on-time delivery of goods to customers, by investigating and resolving detention issues.

  • Runs item availability reports daily.

  • Tracks kits and parts to ensure all parts are available to complete kits.

  • Good communication practice with supply chain team.

  • Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment.

  • Receive F Condition Asset from Parker/USG

  • Unpack and De-trash unit from shipping container.

  • Take photos of containers and assets as required (when damaged/ missing goods received)

  • Retain all pertinent paperwork received with asset (DD1574, DD1348, AFTO 350, VIDS/MAF, etc.…)

  • Validate Paperwork matches asset and unit delivered is correct asset.

  • Scan all paperwork and keep electronic copy on file (5 Years)

  • Receive unit into the Parker Repair on-line (ROL) system (Create Job Number)

  • Release ROL job into MSS (Parker MRP/WIP) system

  • Induct asset into CAV system.

  • Receive detail parts from Parker OEM Divisions

  • Ensure received material quantities match shipping memo (inventory invoice)

  • Validate inventory quantities in MSS and move to appropriate location/locator.

  • Ensure FIFO when relieving on-hand inventory.

  • Kit detailed parts when the customer triggers a need for material.

  • Conduct monthly/annual cycle counting.

  • All other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Lead

  • Must be able to work mandatory Overtime up to 10 hours daily/occasional Weekends.

Basic Qualifications

  • Knowledge in using Microsoft tools: Excel (familiar with basic formulas) and Power Point

  • Good at Multi-tasking, with good communication skills

  • Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience

  • Must Be a US citizen.

  • Must have computer skills.

  • Access to AFB required.
