Job Title: 2nd Shift Saw Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Saw Operator for our 2nd shift from 3pm-12am, Monday through Friday. Training will be conducted on a flexible shift, likely starting from 11am-7:30pm. The Saw Operator will be responsible for the entire process of completing work orders, including interpreting customer color codes, setting up saws, reading tape measures, and operating saw equipment. Additionally, they will pull their parts from the warehouse and place finished parts back into the warehouse.
Responsibilities
Interpret customer color codes
Set up saws and operate saw equipment
Read tape measures accurately to 1/16"
Pull parts from the warehouse and place finished parts back
Work with blueprints and shears
Use various tools and measuring instruments
Essential Skills
Ability to interpret tape measures and measuring instruments to 1/16"
Experience working in a machine shop or steel environment
Mechanically inclined
SAP/computer skills
Experience with saw operation, bandsaws, and forklifts
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to read precise tape measures
Mechanically inclined
Manufacturing experience
Warehouse experience preferred
Experience with lift equipment such as forklifts and cranes

Work Environment
This role is based in a machine shop environment that is non-temperature controlled. You will be on your feet for 10-12 hours per shift.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hixson, Tennessee.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
