We have an exciting opportunity reporting to the Production Planning and Inventory Lead, as Materials to Inventory (MTI) Lead , responsible for the performance of the site inventory control for Cadbury chocolate and crumb, and accountable for driving a continuous improvement philosophy with regards to inventory accuracy and ensure best practices/processes.

Playing a vital role at Site – Claremont, which is the largest Cadbury factory in Australia and the Southern Hemisphere, recently celebrating 100 years in production. The Site delivers 200 million blocks, and 60,000 tonnes of chocolate annually, including other iconic products like Cadbury Freddo, Twirl and Caramello Koalas. This role is key to site inventory and achieving our waste reduction target and investigation on our process order usage variance and stocktake adjustment.

As MTI Lead, you are also required to provide high level SAP reporting across the whole Plant and business/stakeholders, such as detailed production analysis, finance support and maintaining a high level of IRA stocktaking, while working with auditors to ensure compliance.

How you will contribute

You will:

  • Provide training on Continuous Improvement (CI) tools and techniques. You will also help departments follow our established Daily Management System (DMS)

  • Help teams collect data or extract it from the system to support CI activities and the DMS

  • Facilitate root-cause analysis to address identified losses and departmental KPI scorecard gaps

  • Establish new work standards to sustain improvements

  • Train and qualify colleagues on CI tools and new work standards resulting from CI activities

What you will bring

  • Tertiary qualification in engineering, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in supply chain/production planning

  • Experience in the fast-moving consumer goods industry will be highly regarded

  • Outcome focused with a drive for results

  • Conflict management skills and process management

  • Business acumen

  • Attention to detail

  • Planning and prioritization skills

  • Ability to lead and manage projects

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Exposure to SAP is an advantage
