The Salvation Army in Hobbs, New Mexico is looking to fill a Warehouse Driver/Custodian position. The successful candidate for this position will have good verbal and written communication skills, general knowledge of building maintenance, janitorial cleaning and some landscaping.
The Warehouse Driver/Custodian will transport supplies between food bank and corps to other locations, assist with loading and unloading of all incoming trucks, and maintain an orderly and clean warehouse. This position will perform basic cleaning of all corps offices, restrooms, chapel, foyers, common areas and kitchen. Cleaning will include but not limited to vacuuming, dusting, mopping, sanitizing, window cleaning, and garbage removal. This person will also help set up and take down tables and chairs for special events, cleaning and various corps planning.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Good verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to work with minimal supervision
· Ability to pass a criminal background check
· Possess a valid NM driver’s license and clear motor vehicle record
· General knowledge of building maintenance, janitorial cleaning and some landscaping
· Must be able to travel or drive out of town (day trips)
· Computer literate in Microsoft Word and Excel
· Must have good people skills.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to operate telephone, a desktop or laptop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information.
