Job Title: Automation Controls Engineer
Job Description
This local custom machine builder is seeking a controls engineer to join the team. The main responsibilities include writing PLC code for machines, robotic programming, and interfacing with either ABB or Fanuc robots. The ideal candidate will have the ability to read and redline in AutoCAD electrical, as well as hold a technical degree.
Responsibilities
Write PLC code for machines.
Program and interface with ABB or Fanuc robots.
Read and redline in AutoCAD electrical.
Manage and execute planned travel up to 25%, ensuring no unexpected trips.
Collaborate with a team of four other Controls Engineers and report to the designated supervisor.
Utilize remote work flexibility as needed.
Must Have Qualifications
PLC programming from scratch in ABB.
Robotic programming/interfacing in either Fanuc or ABB.
Proficiency in AutoCAD electrical.
Technical degree (BSEE).
Additional Skills & Qualifications ( nice to have )
Experience with AMRs.
Proficiency in both Fanuc and ABB robotic systems.
Mechanical knowledge.
Experience with Ignition.
Work Environment
The work environment includes a new and updated building that is heated and undergoing expansion.
The role offers remote work flexibility and does not have set remote workdays.
Travel is planned months ahead and is limited to 25% of the time, with all expenses covered.
