Summary

Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties.

E*essential Duties And Responsibilities *include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Stage all purchased parts into job cart locations. Track parts for job on pick list and notify appropriate team members of discrepancies.
  2. Coordinate with Parts and Components (P&C) and Logistics Manager for P&C orders.
  3. Compare identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records.
  4. Review shipments prior to shipping to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipment. 
  5. Prepare shipment by choosing container, effectively packaging goods in container. Affix shipping labels on packed cartons identifying shipment information. Post weights and shipping charges and affixes to container.
  6. Unpack and inspect incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages and corresponds with Purchasing Team to rectify damages/shortages with vendor. Route items to department or to inventory location.
  7. Process incoming items to the purchase orders in manufacturing database. 
  8. Prepare shipping documentation for P&C orders for all products shipped.
  9. Relieve inventory for P&C jobs in manufacturing database once completed to insure accuracy of inventory in database to actual. 
  10. Perform procedures necessary to transfer shipment data to accounting for invoicing. 
  11. Pull and deliver jobs to assembly when requested.
  12. Process all customer RGAs and vendor returns.
  13. Prepare weekly cycle count of stockroom.
  14. Keep stockroom organized by maintaining location master, set up preferred locations and recommend min/max levels for inventory stocked.
  15. Work closely with all department in setting up and maintaining MRP.

Education and/or Experience

One year certificate from college or technical school: or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
