Robert Half Accounting/Administrative Specialist in Honolulu, Hawaii

Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting/Administrative Specialist in the Finance/Banking industry located in HONOLULU, Hawaii. This role involves a combination of administrative and entry-level accounting tasks in a professional setting. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to handle a variety of tasks, from data entry to document review/reconciliation, and even some event organization, depending on skill set. Responsibilities:

• Execute data entry tasks with attention to detail

• Review and reconcile documents as part of internal accounting procedures

• Take on various projects, primarily computer-based, in HR and administrative areas

• Assist in event preparation and execution, depending on individual skill set

• Monitor and take appropriate actions on customer accounts

• Maintain accurate records of customer credit applications

• Utilize Microsoft Office Suites for various tasks

• Assist in HR administration and accounting functions as needed

• Ensure accuracy and efficiency in processing customer credit applications.

Requirements • Possession of a minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative or accounting role within a CPA firm or other related industries.

• Proficiency in performing various accounting functions such as accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.

• Demonstrated experience in administrative assistance, including managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and handling office communications.

• Familiarity with Human Resources (HR) administration tasks like employee onboarding, benefits administration, and maintaining HR records.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field is preferred.
